The Blue Dot Challenge is here to support young innovators at the very beginning of their creative journeys. Whether you’re a middle or high school student with a bold solution to a real-world problem.
Your idea doesn’t have to be perfect.
We welcome everything from early sketches to polished concepts.
What matters most is the way you think, the problem you’ve chosen, and the effort you’ve put into solving it.
Don’t worry - the application process is straightforward.

Eligibility Requirements
Who can enter?
The Blue Dot Challenge is open to middle school and high school students.
Participants may enter individually or as part of a team.
· Each team must designate one team leader, who will be responsible for submitting the full entry package.
· For the purpose of eligibility (e.g., age category), the age of the team leader will be considered representative of the team.
Participating Countries and Regions
Invention knows no limits.
We welcome entries from any country or regions. Innovation is universal - and so is this challenge.
Step-by-Step
How Judging Works
The judging process follows a multi-stage review, including an initial screening, evaluation by expert reviewers, and final selection by the panel.
While we aim to ensure transparency, the specific judging criteria and scoring methos are confidential and will not be disclosed to maintain the integrity of the process.
All decisions made by the judging panel are final.
Structuring Your Entry
What We Need to See
To complete your submission, please prepare the following and send it by email
Written Description (2-3 pages).
The written component should be typed in English, using 12-point font, and clearly structured. You may include an additional copy in another language, but an English version is required for review.
Please include the following sections:
· Problem Statement - What your idea does and what issue(s) is addresses
· Inspiration - Where the idea came from or what motivated you
· Functionality - How the idea works, and how it solves the problem
· Design Process - How the concept evolved or was developed
· Originality - What makes it different or unique
· Future Potential - What you envision next for the idea
Images
Upload high-quality images to support your entry. These can include sketches, diagrams, prototype , or concept visuals. Ensure they clearly reflect the features or process of your project.
Video (Optional)
A short video can help bring your idea to life - while optional, it is often a helpful supplement.

· Ensure the link is set to public or unlisted (not private)
· Share the link with your submission

All submissions must be original work created by the entrant(s). Plagiarism or submission of previously published work will result in disqualification.
